About

Courtney Andrews is originally from Enola, Pennsylvania and grew up in Central, PA. She lived out her dream of playing Division 1 soccer at Marshall University.

While at Marshall, she majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in marketing. She extended herself past just being a student-athlete, and joined Sigma Sigma Sigma where she became an executive board member. She also worked with Marshall Communications, as well as Marshall's radio station, newspaper, and television station. Courtney was also the Marketing and Social Media lead for Dance Thunder, Marshall’s version of Penn State’s THON.

Courtney is now working at ESPN in Bristol, CT Producing a first of its kind, female-led sports studio show, Vibe Check.

This is her fifth role at ESPN. She’s moved her way up from Production Assistant, to a Live Streams Content Associate, Associate Producer I and II, and now is a Producer. While a Production Assistant, she executed the logging and tracking of content across all social media platforms, developed and implemented a new workflow for logging footage, and assisted in social analytics data requests.

In her role as a Content Associate on the Digital Live Streams team, Courtney was responsible for assisting in the production of ESPN’s digital shows, where her and her team define and evolve ESPN’s existing linear and social identities for a digital space. Courtney identified and pitched content opportunities from current events and knowledge of the latest social trends and edits content specific to the needs of multiple social media platforms. Through her executions in Adobe Creative Suite, Courtney created exciting content that thrives in a mobile-first, fast-paced news environment. Some of Courtney’s work has been picked up by ESPN’s social team and posted to their instagram account.

As an Associate Producer, she still tackled all the duties as a Content Associate, but added more to her plate. She shot and edited packages for air while being a road producer for Countdown to College Gameday. She was known amongst her team as the “editing queen” and was often tasked with making engaging and fun photoshops, after effects animations and front ends. While in this role, she also took on some managerial roles, assigning out tasks during shows, assigning out tasks, segment producing, and making show graphics.

In her second promotion in just as many years on her team, Courtney moved up to Associate Producer II. Her breadth of experience in on-site producing, editing, and eye for content has made her an invaluable asset to her team. She proves herself both in the control and in the field from stepping into the producer chair to turning stories around herself from ideation through finish product. Courtney also has a knack for putting talent and guests at ease, often times shooting extra social content for their own personal channels as needed. She is not afraid to take on whatever needs arise, big or small, to ensure a smooth and successful production.

She hopes to continue live out her dream of helping to tell the most meaningful stories.
